The time has come for a series a lot of fans were clamoring for. Its Team Secret vs OG! Both teams want to make sure they secure their place in the Top 6 at Shanghai. We actually broke down their stats from the Group Stages earlier this week. Will Amer “Miracle-“ Barqawi finally be cooled down by Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and the rest of Team Secret?

Game 1’s action was apparent from the get-go. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s early rotation on the Earthshaker was paying dividends for Team Secret. David “MoonMeander” Tan’s Tidehunter had a very shaky start picking up an early four deaths. OG wanted to gain some momentum back by attempting to take high ground early lead by Miracle’s Lone Druid. But Puppey’s timely surprise Blink Dagger and Smoke usage spelled disaster for OG’s risky gambit. That didn’t stop OG this time as a more disciplined Siege with proper spacing ensured they take the top lane of barracks by 24 minutes. OG rode the momentum and looked to quickly take the mid barracks shortly after. Team Secret opted to trade barrack as Jacky “EternalEnvy” Mao’s Weaver and Rasmus “Misery” Filipsen’s Nature’s Prophet took OG’s bottom set. It backfired badly for Team Secret as OG took Game 1 at the 27 minute mark.
Team Secret looked to bounce back Game 2 as no team wants to be relegated to the Lower Bracket. Secret’s draft opted for the risky all-ranged line up with an EternalEnvy Drow Ranger. A throwback to his days back with Cloud9 maybe? Team Secret looked to death ball and take objectives early with the summons of Puppey’s Enigma and Misery’s Nature’s Prophet. Four towers in eight minutes for Team Secret. The Drow Ranger aura and Alpha Wolf aura made quick work of towers and Team Secret were sieging the high ground at 11 minutes. OG looked to delay the game with a steady high ground defense and sneaky smoke ops outside made sure they weren’t going to go down swinging. But Secret wasn’t going to be denied and finally takes the 35 minute GG from OG.
Another classic as this series goes to Game 3. OG surprised everyone with the first ever Terrorblade pick of the Majors for Miracle while Secret picks up another Drow for EternalEnvy. This game starts off much slower than the last two with both teams patiently waiting for their opportunities to strike. Secret sneaks in an early Roshan at 12 minutes and the Aegis gives them the confidence to start the death ball. But OG quickly stands their ground and reads Secret’s maneuvers to the letter. An OG smoke gank goes horribly wrong on EternalEnvy as he perfectly dodges a Blink Echo Slam from Andreas “Crit1-“ Nielsen with a BKB. Pinpoint reflexes from EE-sama himself Team Secret wipe OG out and easily take the bottom set of Barracks as well as Roshan. OG takes a gallant stand but big reversals from Johan “pieliedie” Astrom’s Io made sure OG’s comeback will fall short.
Team Secret moves on and OG crashes out of the Upper Bracket. EE fans from all over the world are rejoicing as he reminds them how good a player he can be.
