With the trade deadline just about over, Evil Geniuses (EG) has announced that that Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and Sam “BuLba” Sosale have rejoined their team team, following the departure of Saahil “Universe” Arora and Artour “Arteezy” Babaev earlier this week.

In a statement posted on their official website, EG team captain Peter “ppd” Dager welcomed Aui_2000 and BulBa back to the team. “I am confident that with this roster we have a real shot at winning upcoming tournaments and TI6,” he said.
The EG team captain also thanked the efforts of Universe, who played with the EG squad since 2013.
Aui_2000 was a member of the EG roster that won TI5, before being dropped by the team just days after the tournament concluded. Aui_2000 then joined Digital Chaos.
BuLba previously played for the team for a few months in 2012.
Their departure has caused Digital Chaos to dissolve.
In a video posted to his personal YouTube channel, Aui_2000 described that his decision to rejoin EG was “incredibly hard.”
“After being given the opportunity to play with ppd, Fear and SumaiL again, I tried to imagine who I’d be standing beside holding the Aegis at TI 6, and it was these guys,” he said in the video.
The new EG line-up comes after Arteezy and Universe announced that they were leaving EG for Team Secret last Tuesday. Their departure came with just four days left before the roster lock-in deadline.
With Aui_2000 and BuLba joining the team, EG will be composed of the following players:
- Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling
- Sam “BuLba” Sosale
- Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
- Clinton “Fear” Loomis
- Peter “ppd” Dager
Aui_2000 will reportedly play the Position 1 core player role, while BuLba will take the offlane role that Universe vacated. All other positions and roles on the team will be left unchanged.
