Philippines’ Tourism Department Officially Supports ESL, Places it on Official Events Calendar
Earlier today, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism (DoT) listed ESL One Manila under the “Philippine Calendar of Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions and Exhibitions/Events”.
In other words, ESL One Manila is now officially supported by the DoT. As a result, the Dota 2 event is now elevated to the status of a major international event on the Philippine calendar.

With ESL One Manila to be shown on primetime national television, the tournament, which boasts a $250,000 (~P11.5 million) prize pool, is the first large LAN event to be held on Philippine soil.
ESL One Manila features many of the world’s current top teams, including Team Secret, Team Liquid and EHOME, among others, with Mineski representing the Philippines at the LAN event.
TPB is responsible for attracting, promoting, facilitating, and servicing large-scale events here in the Philippines to people around the world.
