Astralis shuffles roster, replaces cajunb with Kjaerbye
In a very quick turn of events, Danish Counter-Strike organization Astralis has replaced Rene “cajunb” Borg with Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye after Dignitas agreed to swap players with Astralis.
The change comes after Astralis got joint 7th/8th place in the finals of ESL Pro League Season 3 and getting eliminated in the group stage at Dreamhack Masters Malmo 2016.
Danny “zonic” Sørensen, the coach for the team, has said something regarding the change on the team’s official website:
Today is a sad day. We have decided to replace cajunb following a string of bad results, including two failed group stages at consecutive events. We always aim to be the best team we can be, but we have had several issues in the last few months. Initially, we tried switching positions, developing new strats and trying to anti-strat our opponents in a different way, but it is now time to try a more drastic approach.
Personally, I would like to thank René for a wonderful time and I wish him the best in the future.
Here’s cajunb’s reaction about the change:
Quitting is not a option and i play for @TeamDignitas Now

Kjaerbye is one of the hottest Danish talents in CS:GO today, having a 1.12 overall rating as well as being one of the key players that allowed Dignitas to take significant results recently, most notably their qualification for the ESL One Cologne Main Qualifier.
Astralis is currently competing in the ECS and is set to compete in the upcoming ELEAGUE, which has a prize pool of $1.2 million (P56.2 million).
