AGES Dota 2 2016: Mineski-Dota Gains Playoff Slot With a Perfect Streak
UPDATE:
Mineski.Sports5 will play either Signature.Trust or Orange.Taring tonight in the semi-finals of the AGES Dota 2 tournament.
While Mineski CS:GO and Expendables were fighting for their lives in the CS:GO category of the ASEAN Games for eSports 2016, Mineski’s Dota 2 team has gone on a perfect 4-0 streak today in order to book a spot in the playoffs.
Being placed in Group B along with teams such as Infinity and First Departure, the Filipino team arguably have an easier bracket in comparison to Group A, where the likes of RRQ, Signature.Trust and Orange.Taring are aiming for the first two spots in their group.
Still, Mineski showed class and efficiency by quickly taking down all of their opponents in their group, ensuring that they get the first seed after getting a 4-0 record.
With these results, the sole Filipino Dota 2 representatives have secured themselves a playoff slot as well as a guaranteed cash prize of RM 28,700 (P328,000).
