Benedict “hyhy” Lim Han Yong has been one of the darlings of the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene since his old days as one of the pillars of Scythe Gaming, and his stint on Nirvana.my and MYM. His status was further bolstered after being featured in Valve’s Dota 2 documentary, Free to Play.

Since stepping back from competitive Dota 2 to pursue his business degree, personal life, National Service and League of Legends, among other things, hyhy is back and has graced his fans with an Ask Me Anything thread on Reddit!

Most recently, hyhy reportedly teamed up with Nicholas “xFreedom” Kelvin Ileto Lim to join the Singaporean Dota 2 Ok qualifiers, falling to First Departure.

Only time will tell if hyhy will return to the competitive Dota 2 scene with a vengeance. Personally, I would love to see a return of his patented Shadow Fiend play — maybe even with modern updates to the play style, care of  Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung’s unorthodox Mekansm Shadow Fiend rush.

With hyhy and Mushi reportedly playing games together via DouyuTV and Mushi’s surprise announcement that he has left Team Malaysia, could we see a possible future team-up? Who knows, so just be sure not to stay hidden in the trees. You just might miss it.
