2016 League of Legends World Championship – Group Stage Predictions
The groups have been decided for the 2016 League of Legends World Championship and now, it’s time for predictions!
While we are waiting if we’ll have a local version of the 2016 Worlds Pick’em, I’ll share my predictions for the group stages. But before that, let me give a quick explanation of the Group Stage.
Group Stage Quick Guide
The Group Stages will be played in a Best of 1, double Round Robin.
This means that every team will play every other team in their group twice. A total of six (6) games will be played per group. The top 2 teams of each group will then proceed to the Knockout Stage.

Analysis
Groups A and C are fairly easy to predict. Not dismissing the strength of the Wildcard teams but they will struggle against the more experienced teams in their group. Both Wildcard teams, INTZ eSports from Brazil and Albux NoX Luna from Russia, will be lucky if they get one win from their respective groups. H2K and CLG still has a shot of getting out of the group stages but only if they play in their best forms.
SKTelecoms T1, last year’s champion with an almost perfect record, is in Group B together with the “Korean killers” Flash Wolves. Need I say more?
Group D, the so-called “Group of Death”, is voted to be the most explosive and unpredictable group of all. North America’s Top 1, China’s 2nd seed, Korea’s Top 3 and a European underdog who wants to prove themselves.
