Team NG from Vietnam will reportedly drop from the ASUS ROG Masters Finale in favor of joining the WESG APAC Finals in South Korea. In their place, Execration from the Philippines will compete in the November 12 ASUS ROG Masters LAN finale in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to sources close to both teams, the Vietnamese Dota 2 squad chose to compete in the WESG event instead as it would give them a better environment to improve their skills. Execration, in the meantime, will be facing some fearsome line-ups that include Fnatic, and Mineski at Malaysia.

This isn’t the first time that a team has chose to drop a tournament in recent days. Just yesterday, Mineski announced that they were dropping from the WESG event as its nationality-based rulings would have prevented them from playing with their core player, Gavin Kang “Meracle” Jiang Wen. In their place, TNC Pro Team will join S1 Lykos to represent the Philippines.
