The 16 Teams of the Overwatch World Cup Have Been Announced

At Blizzcon 2016 this year, 16 teams from 16 different countries will converge in Anaheim to show off their skills and battle for the first Overwatch World Cup.

After a month of qualifiers and over 50 countries, the field has narrowed to 16 teams that will represent the three major regions of Blizzard. Starting October 29, BlizzCon’s opening week, some of your favorite streamers, and pro players will team up with lesser known but formidable talent.

The list of teams that made it through to the World Cup include:

Broadcast team

The broadcast team for the event also includes some heavy-hitting talent from the world of eSports. Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykkles and Erik “DoA” Lonqvist of League of Legends fame will join Overwatch community favorites Andrew “ZP” Rush, Matt “Mr. X” Morello, among others.

Former Team SoloMid League of Legends team Top laner Marcus “Dyrus” Hill will also join the broadcast team as courtside reporter while Rogue’s Tank player Jonathan “Reinforce” Larsson joins the team on the analyst desk.
