Senator Bam Aquino to Open ESGS
The E-Sports and Gaming Summit, set for October 28-30 2016 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, will once again be opened by Senator Benigno Paolo “Bam” Aquino.
The senator, a well-known supporter of the gaming and eSports local industries, also gave the opening address at last year’s ESGS event.
Aquino is also an honorary member of the Philippine eSports Association (PeSPA), whose body converges in the senator’s office to discuss local industry topics and issues. At ESGS, Aquino will answer some questions about the government’s role in the gaming and eSports sector in a scheduled, on-stage interview.
ESGS is the yearly E-sports and general gaming convention put together by Gariath Concepts. This year’s line-up includes heavy-hitters in the gaming world, including booths and presentations from the likes of Capcom, Sony and Bandai.
This year’s ESGS will also feature a live viewing area for the Dota 2 Boston Major qualifiers.
