Serena Williams is Overwatch’s Celebrity Endorser
If you watched Blizzard’s Overwatch League announcement video at BlizzCon this year, then chances are you were treated to a celebrity cameo you may not have realized.
It turns out, Tennis champion Serena Williams is a fan of fictional Overwatch pro KRUSHER 99. The American tennis legend appeared on the Overwatch League announcement video as a fan wearing the KRUSHER99 jacket.

While Ms. Williams has yet to formally announce her full involvement in the eSports space, Blizzard’s new league plans for Overwatch might make it easier for sports investments to come in as the setup resembles that of traditional sports, complete with city-based eSports organizations and sporting combines to scout out new talent.
