TNC Pro Team, PBE.AK to represent the Philippines at the 10th Esports World Championship 2018
ERRATUM: Mineski were not beaten at the R. Papa Qualifier but rather chose to drop out of the tournament.
The qualifiers for the 10th Esports World Championship 2018 at Kaohsiung, Taiwan have just finished with TNC winning big. They beat out ArkAngel in both the CS:GO and League of Legends Finals to represent Philippines in the IESF tournament.
For the CS:GO Qualifiers, TNC and ArkAngel met twice; the first was the Upper Bracket Finals where TNC sent ArkAngel to the Lower Bracket. From there, ArkAngel beat Audacity to move on to the Grand Finals and face TNC once again. But TNC had the upper hand and beat ArkAngel a second time in a 3-1 series.
TNC and ArkAngel were also the finalists for the League of Legends qualifiers. TNC won the R. Papa qualifier. For ArkAngel, they made it to the Main Stage by winning the La Union tournament. In the Main Event bracket, TNC beat Acion Arena in the Semifinals and ArkAngel beat XSW. In the end, TNC won again by beating ArkAngel 2-0.
For the Tekken 7 tournament, PBE.AK will be the Philippine representative after beating teammate PBE.Doujin.
Across the three games, there were a total of 188 participants from all over the country fighting it out for a spot to represent the Philippines.
The 10th IESF World Championships 2018 will be held at the Kaohsiung Arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from November 9 to 11.
