The 4th and final day of The International 2019 Group Stages only featured 12 best of 2 matches. But just in case you missed anything important, we still made a recap to be sure.

TNC reach the Upper Bracket in Style

Prior to Day 4, TNC Predator were engaged in a three-way tie for 4th place with Alliance and Mineski. TNC needed to win their final series if they wanted a surefire path to the Upper Bracket. But they were up against Team Liquid, the squad Heen coached to TI glory in 2017. TNC dominated the first match and took their time closing it off, finally taking Liquid’s throne after 70 minutes. The second game was a less tense affair as TNC, backed up by Tims’ godlike Earthshaker, controlled the game from start to finish to book their place in the Upper Bracket in the most exhilarating fashion.

Tims to make All-Star debut

As if things couldn’t get any better for TNC, star support Tims will become the first Filipino player to feature in The International All-Star match. The All-Star match draft was based on players’ fantasy points accumulated throughout the group stage and Tims will be lining up with the likes of Somnus, pieliedie, Nisha, and Miracle-. They will be facing off against the team comprised of SumaiL, Dy, miCKe, RAMZEs, and SoNNeikO. The game mode for the All-Star match is going to be an all-random deathmatch where players spawn as new heroes whenever they die. The first team to exhaust the other teams’ 40 respawns, reach 45 kills, or destroy the other teams’ Ancient, wins.

Early Exits

With the main event of The International 2019 looming, two teams will, unfortunately, be going home after abysmal performances in the group stages. European qualifiers Chaos Esports Club and 8th placed DPC team Ninjas in Pyjamas both had an International to forget, sporting a 0-3-5 record prompting them to finish at the bottom of their respective groups.
