SRIA Miracles and UE Snipers Corp. face off in 2019 EAA LoL Spring Finals
The semester is coming to a close. With it comes the long-awaited finale of 2019 Esports Acadarena Spring Split national League of Legends tournament with the University of the East’s Snipers Corporation and St. Robert’s International Academy – Iloilo’s Miracles.
After the fall of last season’s champion — the University of Santo Tomas Teletigers — in the semifinals to the Miracles, the field is now open for a new school to rise up and take the crown.
For the northern representatives, it is UE’s moment to keep the Luzonian legacy alive and establish themselves as the new leaders of Philippine collegiate esports. Thus far, their tournament run has been largely part to their carry top laner Christian Rey “ChristianRey” Manaois and jungler Roland Mitchell “Mitch” Cabrera. The Snipers Corp.’s snowball-heavy win lane-win game strategy is one that is hard to underestimate coming into the Finals.
On the other side of the Rift, SRIA’s Miracles are a heavyweight contender for the trophy as the Visayan squad boasts a number of pros and ex-pros in their roster. Notably, Miguel “Arisen” Pison and Ren “Kanji” Motomitsu are the star players of Bren Esports. With their stacked lineup, Miracles are hoping to secure VisMin their first-ever EAA championship and put the region on the map as a verifiable contender in collegiate League of Legends.
The 2019 EAA Spring Split Finals will be held on December 1, 3:00 PM at the Nexus GameCraft & Esports Expo and will be streamed live on fb.com/AcadArenaPH
and twitch.tv/CampusCooldown.
