In an announcement by the Pacific Championship Series, G-Rex Gaming will be departing the franchise league as a result of “business restructuring” by parent company Emperor Esports Stars Limited.
Since its inception, the league originally had nine partnered organizations with Malaysia’s Berjaya Dragons recently joining the tournament structure. In light of G-Rex Gaming’s departure, the PCS is currently looking to secure its 10th slot before its launch this early 2020. G-Rex Gaming follows MEGA Esports as teams unable to join the PCS due to organizational reasons.
The inaugural Spring Split of the PCS has been postponed until further notice because of fears surrounding the novel Coronavirus as of late.
