DBFZ, GBVS Gets New DLC Character, Major Patches This September
Two fighting games are receiving new characters and receiving major updates this September. Like all fighting games, these new inclusions are expected to change up the fighting game’s competitive balance upon their arrival. Here’s what they’re getting.
DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ
Bandai Namco and Arc System Works surprised many of Dragonball FighterZ fans when they revealed Master Roshi as the third DLC character of the title.
Other than his inclusion, a major balance patch is also released which provides minor nerfs to popular characters while giving immense buffs to characters falling off or completely absent in the game’s competitive scenes.
This update is now available for both the PS4 and PC versions of Dragonball FighterZ. All of the changes can be found in their official page here.
GRANBLUE FANTASY VERSUS
Cygames, the co-developer of this title and one of the major sponsors of the cancelled EVO tournament series, will be releasing its first Season 2 DLC character for Granblue Fantasy Versus in a week. The new character, Belial, is a popular character in the series where he is not a main character. Belial poses himself as a treacherous ally with ambiguous goals to the main cast.
His inclusion would also include a major balance patch. Since release, characters with access to meterless reversals immediately place high on tiers while outclassing other characters for simply having this tool.
The new Season 2 update will drop on September 24 for both the PS4 and PC versions of Granblue Fantasy Versus.
