The next Hearthstone update will have Battle-Ready Decks up for purchase and add Quilboars to Battlegrounds
Players will be able to purchase pre-made, ‘Battle-Ready’ decks comprised of cards from the Year of the Phoenix and Forged in the Barrens when Hearthstone’s patch 20.2 rolls along.
This isn’t, in any case, a mere money grab that will undermine the thrill of deck-building. Battle-Ready decks won’t be available when a new expansion is released but will instead become available only when the dust settles (pun unintended) and a stable meta emerges.
“We want to make sure we preserve the exploration phase of each expansion when everyone is trying out new and interesting things,” says Blizzard in the latest Hearthstone blog post.
The experimental feature is primarily meant for new players who haven’t built up their collections yet or returning players who are lost and in need of a competitive deck to use to get a feel of the current meta. It’s also meant for people willing to chalk up $20 to get Xyrella, I guess?

In other news, a new minion type in the form of Quilboars is coming to Battlegrounds. Their addition introduces a new buff mechanic: Blood Gems.
Quilboars will be in every Battlegrounds match until the next major content patch.
