Techies just made a pro Dota 2 team call GG in 13 minutes
A full minute of head shaking, followed by a sigh of resignation, capped off by a surreal acceptance that the next hour is going to be plain miserable: a universal experience for every pub player when somebody from the enemy team locks in Techies.
Pros hate playing against Techies just as much as the rest of us and this was in full display last night when Team Aster surrendered to Zhao “XinQ” Zixing’s Techies-led PSG.LGD a little over 13 minutes into their OGA Dota PIT game.

Team Aster wasn’t out of the game by any means. Sure, they botched a triangle takeover and were 1.5k networth behind, but that’s normal when you’re playing against a midlane Templar Assassin. The tie was still winnable, until it wasn’t.
“Dota is a sick mental game,” back-to-back TI champion Johan “n0tail” Sundstein once said. XinQ and LGD won the mental warfare this time around.
