Na’Vi.US Disbands
Inner conflicts between team members were touted as the cause for the disbandment of American Dota 2 squad, Natus Vincere (Na’Vi) US.
In a statement released today, the premier European gaming organization announced that Na’Vi US, composed of former North American Rejects (NAR) players JingJun “Sneyking” Wu, Steven “Korok” Ashworth, Braxton “Brax” Paulson, Ioannis “Fogged” Loucas and Theeban “1437” Siva, have been dropped by Na’Vi.
Right before The International (TI) 4 main event began, speculations arose that the Na’Vi organization didn’t believe that their main squad (then composed of former TI 1 champions Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and company) could win the event. NAR was picked up shortly after they won the American TI 4 qualifier
Since TI 4 however, Na’Vi US has played with a variety of stand-ins, leading to less than stellar performances and even outright withdrawal from leagues. Today, the Na’Vi organization decided to formally cut their ties with their American squad.
In a statement, Igor “caff” Sidorenko, COO for Na’Vi said:
“The interpersonal relations between the players, which disabled the squad to exist, were the reason of our decision to disband the squad. We couldn’t let the squad to go on with constant changes of the players. However, the development of Na`Vi.Us isn’t over. In the nearest future we will present a new Dota 2 squad [sic].”
According to the gaming organization, the American division of Na’Vi (Latin for Born to Win) will continue as they search for new talent to comprise their team.
