Blacklist continues mastery over ALMGHTY to win first-ever CODM Garena Masters
Blacklist International Ultimate continued its mastery over Singapore’s ALMGHTY, handing them a clean 3-0 sweep to capture the first-ever CODM Garena Masters title.
The Filipinos didn’t even need a remake of the grand finals as they dominated the matchup in the rematch of last year’s CODM Eastern World Championship, winning 150-64 in Hardpoint at Firing Range, 6-3 in Search and Destroy at Raid, and 150-133 in Domination at Standoff.
This caps off an undefeated tournament run for the Blacklist, never losing a single series from the group stages to the finals.
Today’s grand final matchup was a tad bit different from what people saw when the teams last met, as Blacklist now fields in prodigy duo Gian Zydric “Yato” Socao and Railey “Yobabs” Abrenica. Both replaced Ken “Kensh1” Ortiz and Neil Isaac “F1ex” Perez.
The team proved they could win at the highest level with this lineup as well, dominating the Singaporeans from start to finish.
To top it all off, Yato was named the MVP of the tournament for his impressive performance in the grand finals.
Blacklist will now take home the lion’s share of 10,000 USD from the 25,000 USD prize pool with this victory.
