NAOS Esports falls to Onic Esports, eliminated from VCT 2022 Stage 1 – Challengers APAC
NAOS Esports lost to Onic Esports in their elimination match of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers.
These young bloods have proven us that they have what it takes to be the best. They may not have been on top of the APAC region, but they have caught the hearts of the Filipinos. Game 1 on Bind was a back and forth fiasco with multiple momentum shifts. NAOS started good but was abruptly stopped by Onic in the first half. However, NAOS made a tremendous showing in the second half as they only allowed three rounds to go Onic’s way. The game ended 13-11 in favor of NAOS.
Despite their Game 1 momentum, NAOS lost Game 2 on Icebox 13-5. Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha made it pesky for NAOS as he, along with the rest of the Onic squad, dominated the entire time.
With the series proceeding to the third map, Icebox, both teams went into the last game eager to avoid being eliminated from the tournament. However, Onic Esports ultimately prevailed as they outscored NAOS 13-5 in Breeze.
With that said, NAOS unfortunately is the first Filipino representatives to exit VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers.
Meanwhile, PH’s last hope, South Built Esports, will be fighting for their lives as they face Oblivion Force at Group D’s elimination match tomorrow, March 19, 2022.
