Philippine Esports startup AcadArena made its way into the “Forbes 30 Under 30 in Asia” list under the Consumer Technology category.

AcadArena cofounders Justin Banusing (22), Ariane Lim (28), and Kevin Hoang (29) joined trailblazers in social app development and education technology from all over the Asia-Pacific.

With its aim of helping students from the Philippines lead fulfilling lives in campus gaming, AcadArena has partnered with over 100,000 students from 600 schools to provide support for gaming clubs, offer scholarships, and open up opportunities for students to compete internationally.

Forbes’ press release details their criteria for honorees to consider “[the nominee’s] demonstration of leadership, how they embody the entrepreneurial spirit that is synonymous with Forbes, and their potential of success in their industry. Other factors like innovation, disruption – and size and growth of their ventures in some categories – play a role in making the final decision.”
