Bugs infest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Release Day
It’s been a bad release day for countless Pokémon fans after they discover that the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games are infested by a myriad of bugs.
From pesky visual glitches, horrendous lag, framerate issues, and painstakingly slow buffer times, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet made waves for all the wrong reasons. As such, the Pokémon community shared their respective bug encounters on the Internet. Here are some examples:

Due to the proximity of game releases in the Pokémon calendar, some players even expected this buggy adventure right from the start:
Pokémon Scarlet/Violet reviews are pretty much what I'd expected them to be; Fun game with cool ideas brought down by performance issues and bugs.

It’s worth noting that bug reports came from every type of Nintendo Switch user, regardless of which version of the console they have. Pokémon news outlet Centro Pokémon announced that players can solve the framerate issues by simply restarting the game. They also pointed out that the problems are seemingly caused by ‘memory leaks’ although the game’s developers have not made any response to this claim.
FRAMERATE ISSUES CAN BE FIXED BY RESTARTING THE GAME
For our English following, we feel this is very important. Based on our testing, the biggest issue we have, the framerate drops, appear to come from a memory leak or similar when you are near towns or cities. pic.twitter.com/QHBlMSq2AH

For now, neither Nintendo nor the Pokémon Company has yet to release an official statement regarding the bugs and fans can only wait for a future patch update (if ever that comes soon enough).
