Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon finally debut in Pokémon GO

Vivillon’s entire family line and its 18 forms are now in Pokémon GO.

Vivillon (pronounced as Vi-vi-yon) is a Pokémon introduced in Generation 6 and is iconic for its different patterns, just like Spinda’s spots and Furfrou’s different forms.

In order to obtain one, trainers all over the world will first need to catch its first-stage evolution Scatterbug, which you can encounter by collecting and pinning postcards a player receives from gifts. From there, you will need to evolve it into a Spewpa with 25 candies, and further evolve it using 100 Scatterbug candies to finally get a Vivillon.

Similar to its original mechanic in the main series games, a Vivillon’s pattern is determined by where in the real world the postcard originally comes from. As of now, there are a total of 18 patterns to collect, all of which are scattered all around the globe:
