ECHO started the fourth and last day of the group stages with a dominant win against Occupy Thrones. Just like real-life predators, the Orcas bullied their opposition into submission as they swiftly ended the game 19-5 in just a little more than 11 minutes. In fact, they were so dominant the gold difference ballooned to 12.9K as the game ended. Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya took home the game MVP honors as he recorded a flawless 5/0/6 KDA.
As they continued their path to a flawless group stage run, ECHO successfully toppled down RSG Singapore for their third and final matchup in Group C. This time, Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera finally returned to the starting lineup and debuted his signature Chou in M4, eventually securing the game MVP honors with 1/2/10 KDA on a 69% teamfight participation. Meanwhile, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s supremacy on Fanny eventually led to ECHO’s win as he casually backdoored his way to end the game straight away after fifteen minutes.
With the top spot at Group C secured, ECHO joins fellow Philippine representatives Blacklist International in the upper bracket and will face Malaysia’s Team HAQ in the knockouts.
