Despite their win against ECHO during the first day of Week 7, TNC is at the bottom of the standings after getting swept themselves by ONIC PH on April 1, 2023. As of now, the Phoenixes currently have ten points and has another upcoming match in Week 8 where they will face Smart Omega.

“Good run parin kahit top eight [It’s still a good run despite finishing top eight],” stated TNC’s Jetson “Goyo” Ignacio in the team’s post match interview at their Facebook page. This season also marks their back-to-back eight place finish since they also finished dead last in Season 10 following their third-place finish back in Season 9.

Whether they win or lose the match against Brgy. Omega, TNC will remain out of playoffs contention. Hence, coach Jemson Glean “Scholar” Ignacio bid good luck to the remaining teams that will participate in the playoffs.

“Good luck na lang din sa mga natitirang team sa playoffs [Good luck to the remaining teams in the playoffs],” said in the same post-match interview.

TNC’s season started horribly for the team as they went on a five-match losing streak before finally getting a 2-0 win against ONIC PH during the third week of the season. As such, the players vowed to come back stronger in Season 12.

“Pinapangako namin guys na babawi kami next season [We promise to you guys that we’ll recoup next season],” said Robee “Ninjakilla” Pormocille (formerly known as “Yasuwo“).

As for the remaining teams, Bren Esports, ECHO, and Blacklist International have all secured their playoffs spots and Week 8’s conclusion may shuffle the order of the rankings. Meanwhile, RSG Philippines, ONIC PH, Smart Omega, and Nexplay EVOS are all still on the playoff race, with tighter margins for Nexplay EVOS.

MPL PH Season 11 will be paused for the observance of the Holy Week and will be back for the final week of the regular season on April 14, 2023, with featured matches between Blacklist International versus BREN Esports followed by Smart Omega against ECHO.
