Do you remember the Crab Rave music video? It turns out, Crab Rave’s creator followed it up and actually made a game with crabs and has just recently released it.

The game is called Crab Champions, a third-person shooter with roguelike elements. Its creator, Eoin O’Broin (who also goes by Noisestorm), has been solo developing the game since 2019, and he released early access for Crab Champions on Steam earlier this April.

FEATURED STORIES

Pop culture and meme enthusiasts can definitely recall the crab rave music video. After all, it was all over social media shortly after the music video was released. The Crab Rave song was originally released in April 2018 under the Canadian record label Monstercat as part of the Monstercat Instinct Vol. 1 and peaked at #14 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

Prior to the game’s release on Steam, the game originally had a target launch way back on August 20, 2020, but was delayed indefinitely. Fortunately, the release of the game this year coincided with the song’s fifth anniversary.

Currently, the game has also released a new patch update just several weeks after it was launched. For more information on the game, you can keep updated through their Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram accounts, visit their official website, or check out Crab Champions on Steam.
