Details you need to know for VCT Pacific Ascension 2023
Now that the VALORANT Challengers Philippines – Split 2 has ended, it’s now time for the qualified teams to try their best to ascend to the next level in the VCT Pacific Ascension 2023.
Qualified Teams
With NAOS Esports representing the Philippines, they will be going against the qualified teams from Japan, Korea, Oceania, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia & Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong, and South Asia. Here’s a quick rundown of which teams are going to participate:
- Japan – SCARZ
- Korea – Dplus
- Oceania – N/A (qualifiers still ongoing)
- Philippines – NAOS Esports
- Indonesia – BOOM Esports
- Thailand – XERXIA
- Vietnam – Fancy United Esports
- Malaysia & Singapore – Bleed eSports
- Taiwan & Hong Kong – ONE Team
- South Asia – N/A (qualifiers still ongoing)
Format
VCT Pacific Ascension 2023 will be played on LAN in front of a live audience in Bangkok, Thailand and teams will be fighting for the lion’s share of the USD $100,000 prize pool.
The tournament will start with a group stage that is divided into two groups of five teams each. The teams will be going through a single round-robin with a best-of-3 format and the top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
In the playoffs, the top-seeded teams from each group will directly go to the semifinals while the rest of the qualified playoff teams will be battling it out in the quarterfinals. The playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket with each playoff round played in a best-of-3 format followed by a best-of-5 grand final.

Further information about the VCT Pacific Ascension 2023 will be shared through promotional trailers, team previews, influencer rallies, and more—with all the videos dropping on the official VCT Pacific YouTube channel.
VCT Pacific Ascension 2023 will run from June 28 – July 9, 2023, with the group stage running from June 29 – July 4 while the playoff stage will be commencing on July 7-9. The broadcast schedule will be at the following times:
- Group Stage: 13:00 THA // 14:00 GMT+8
- Playoffs: 16:00 THA // 17:00 GMT+8
