LGD Bags I-League Season 2 Title
After two months of matches involving teams from all over the world, LGD-Gaming grabbed the first place in the I-League Season 2 LAN Finals, beating HyperGloryTeam (HGT), 3-0. They brought home $56,000 (P2,51 million~) in cash, while HGT took $22,400 (P1 million~) for their efforts. Vici Gaming, last season’s defending champions, took $16,560 (P744,000~) after being eliminated by HGT in the loser bracket finals, 2-1.
It is important to note that this is their first championship after they gained 3rd place at the second edition of the Esports Champions League, gaining $1,628 (P73,000~) in the process.
Other things to notice are that Gong “ZSMJ” Jian and company have been showing fantastic form throughout the course of the tourney and LAJONS, the all-Swedish European team led by Adrian “Era” Kryeziu, have made their first appearance under the NiP brand in this tournament.
