Backed against the wall, yoe Flash Wolves (YFW) reverse sweeps the Taipei Assassins (TPA) in a stunning 5-game series for the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) in Taipei.

As the dominating region in Southeast Asia, it was no surprise that a team from the Taiwan/Macao/Hong Kong area came out on top. The current kings of the GPL Saigon Jokers and Bangkok Titans, Oceanian team Avant Garde and even fellow Taiwanese team ahq e-Sports Club were no match for the powerhouses, YFW and TPA.

Sweeping through every opponent in dominating fashion, TPA and YFW faced each other in the finals of IEM Taipei. The winner gets a spot for the World Championship, wherein they’ll get a chance to be up against other big names such as Cloud 9, Gambit and World Elite.

The first two games were easy for TPA, as they consistently outmaneuvered and outplayed YFW with the use of Sivir’s fast pushing capability.

However, as they were one game away from victory, YFW was able to deduce that the Battle Mistress was the key to TPA’s team composition and was therefore banned for the rest of the series.

From this, YFW’s Maple (Mid) and NL (Attack Damage Carry) upped their aggression, racking up kills left and right. Top Laner Steak also played amazingly well, soaking the damage and initiating fights as the team needed.

As TPA started losing control of the series, their weaknesses steadily amplified. TPA Mid Laner Chawy (formerly of Singapore Sentinels) folded under pressure and AD Carry Lupin wasn’t able to replicate his performance on other champions with Sivir being banned.

Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, YFW wins $25,000 and the title of IEM Taipei 2015 Champion.
