New League Of Legends Champion: Tahm Kench, The River King
After a teaser trailer earlier this week, Riot Games has released the champion reveal for their new Champion named Tahm Kench.
Tahm Kench is designed as a support tank, able to change the effects of his move set depending on how many stacks he lands on enemy champions with his passive ability, An Acquired Taste. Able to function well as a support or a solo laner, this health-stacking river monster’s engage is appropriately monstrous if timed right.
In a support playstyle, Tahm Kench shines when saving his allied marksman, tanking damage and making sure they can farm adequately. In an event of an engage, Tahm Kench can devour his allied marksman for positioning — or the enemy marksman if he’s unfortunate enough to be caught off position. Sticking to his lane partner allows Tahm Kench to maximize his tankiness and zone potential.
In a solo lane, he relies on his Q and stacks of his passive to harass the enemy and set him up for ganks. Building health allows him to maximize damage and survive poke from his lane opponent, while his ultimate will allow him to chase down fleeing low health enemies.
While the meta here in PH will still leave his ultimate laning identity up in the air, his utility and tankiness will most likely see him top lane, or even the odd jungle.
Tahm Kench will most likely be released around patch 5.13 . In the meanwhile, you can eat up his champion reveal here.
