Nanyang Championships Format Announced
The Nanyang Championships, hosted by China’s KeyTV, announced the format of the tournament with six directly invited teams, yet to be announced, and four teams participating for each region during the qualifier stage. These 10 teams will battle it out for the base prizepool $200,000 on October 26-November 1, 2015 at the Suntec convention centre in Singapore.

The use of crowdfunding was successful for Valve in The International 5 (TI5) with the prizepool surpassing the estimated goal of $15 million, the current prizepool now amounts to $16.3 million. Nanyang Championships will also be using the same strategy with 25% of ticket sales going to the prizepool. There will also be a compendium and in-game items in store for the players that will support the tournament. The compendium is said to be available in game next week.
Prize Distribution
1st Place: $100,000 USD + 48% crowdfunded contribution
2nd Place: $50,000 USD + 24% crowdfunded contribution
3rd Place: $25,000USD + 12% crowdfunded contribution
4th Place: $10,000USD + 8% crowdfunded contribution
5th–6th Place: $7,500USD + 4% crowdfunded contribution
