ESL Announces Hearthstone SEA Open Series
In an announcement by the Electronic Sports League (ESL), ESL will host the Southeast Asia (SEA) Open series for Hearthstone.
The series will be an open-format, weekly tournament where Southeast Asia players can battle to earn Hearthstone World Championship (HWC) points.
The said series will run every Saturday for six weeks, starting July 25 at 2 p.m. (GMT +8) and will end on August 29. The tournament will be impartial and will be open to everyone, newbies and pros alike, with the only exception being that players should be citizens of the following Southeast Asian countries:
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Vietnam
Weekly point distribution for the top 8 finishers would be the following:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 5 points
3rd to 4th place: 3 points each
5th to 8th place: 1 point each
With the HWC just a few months away, players could still vie for a spot through earning HWC points from ESL.
