Chinese Teams Dominate the First Day of TI5 Group Stage
The first day of The International (TI) 5 group stage concluded with Chinese teams dominating both groups. LGD Gaming tops group A with six points (2-0) while Vici Gaming stands at 1-1 (4 points) in group B.
Also making it to group A’s top 4 are European team Team Secret, America-based Complexity Gaming and Ukrainian squad Natus Vincere. While another Chinese team CDEC Gaming (3 points) places second in group B. TI4 champions Newbee is tied with Russian squad Virtus.Pro at third place with 2 points.

The 16 teams will continue to best each other until July 30 to determine the bracket placing for the main event. The top four teams from both groups will be placed in the upper bracket while the bottom fours be in the lower bracket. The main event will start on August 3-8, 2015. All games are in a best of three series while the Grand finals will be played in a best of five where the reigned champion will receive at least $6.3 million.
