Video-streaming site Twitch updated its site’s policy Monday, clarifying its position on video game streamer’s dress code when broadcasting and appearing in person before their cameras.

The change was reflected in the site’s Rules of Conduct. It stated that the dress code is aimed towards keeping the video game streaming site focused on the games.

Below is the updated dress code:

Dress…appropriately
Nerds are sexy, and you’re all magnificent, beautiful creatures, but let’s try and keep this about the games, shall we?

Wearing no clothing or sexually suggestive clothing – including lingerie, swimsuits, pasties, and undergarments – is prohibited, as well as any full nude torsos*, which applies to both male and female broadcasters. You may have a great six-pack, but that’s better shared on the beach during a 2-on-2 volleyball game blasting “Playing with the Boys.”

* If it’s unbearably hot where you are, and you happen to have your shirt off (guys) or a bikini top (grills), then just crop the webcam to your face. Problem solved.

We sell t-shirts, and those are always acceptable. #Kappa

Since launching in 2011, Twitch has grown to be one of the top video game streaming websites in the world. Acquired in Aug. 25 of this year, the site is home to many streamers who operate their own channels, broadcasting playthroughs of popular game titles.

With such a large amount of streamers vying for audience share, however, users have complained that certain content producers frequently dress scantily in front of the camera to entice viewers or dress inappropriately as they broadcast from the comforts of their own homes.
