TI5 Champ Aui Finds Home in a New North American Team
American player and The International 5 (TI5) champion Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling will now be joining a newly formed North American (NA) team after getting booted out from the defending TI5 champions Evil Geniuses (EG).
Aui_2000 will be part of the pioneer team of NA-based Digital Chaos (DC), team founded by commentator and community content provider Shannon “SUNSFan” Scotten. He will be also joined by EG’s former coach in TI5 Kanishka “BuLba” Sosale, who will be taking the offlane role.
Another American veteran Dota 2 player Tyler “TC” cook will be playing the carry role for DC. Young blood players will round out the team: Vietnamese support-role prodigy Dat Quoc “Biryu” Ham and Yawar “YawaR” Hassan, older brother of the Syed Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan who is part of EG’s winning team in TI5.
Aui_2000 was kicked from EG right after they won $6.6 million in Seattle early-August. His departure from EG has caused quite a buzz in the Dota 2 community as many fans and players regarded his contributions during the grand finals as key factors that helped the American team take home the Aegis of Champions this year.
However, EG’s captain Peter “PPD” Dagger explained why Aui_2000 was kicked from the team, citing “communication problems” and hardheadedness as reasons.
