The Summit 2, however, did not cruise through the first day without incident. The first game between Team Secret and EG was plagued with lags and crashes, which ended up with a redraft as a result of a corrupted save file. There were also issues in Dota 2 TV viewing as well as some stream problems. It is worth noting, however, that some of these troubles were caused by problems on the end of Twitch and Valve, which were not in Beyond The Summit’s control.

FEATURED STORIES

The tournament currently has a $303,976 prize pool after raising an additional $203,976 to the $100,000 base prize pool thanks to in-game sales. Tickets are still available in the Dota 2 store for $9.99. You can also watch the game for free via the Twitch stream here.
