Are You Ready for the 2015 League of Legends Championship Series?
The 2015 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Spring Split is about to kick off as the 10 best teams from North America (NA) and Europe (EU) will battle it out on the fields of justice to secure their seats in the playoffs and inch closer to a spot in the World Championships.
This year’s LCS will prove to be double the excitement as both NA and EU will have two additional team slots. Both countries regions will feature 10 teams. These additional teams are acquired through the promotional tournaments.
The regular season will last for nine weeks and the playoffs for three weeks. Each game day will feature five matches, twice a week.
The participating LCS teams from North America are Team Solo Mid, Cloud 9, Team Impulse, Team Liquid, Team Dignitas, Counter Logic Gaming, Winterfox, Team 8, Gravity Gaming and Team Coast.
The European teams consists of Elements, Fnatic, SK Gaming, Team ROCCAT, Meet Your Makers, Gambit Gaming, Copenhagen Wolves, Unicorns of Love, H2k-Gaming and GIANTS! Gaming.
The first match is set to begin on Jan. 23, 2015, with the EU teams to draw first blood.
The LCS was first launched by Riot Games during the Season 3 of LoL. In no time, the series was recognized worldwide as the premier qualifying league for NA and EU teams.
