Team Bibingka Is Your Official Philippine Heroes of the Storm Representative for BlizzCon!
Last July 25, 2015, Team Bibingka was declared as the Philippine’s representative for the Heroes of the Storm road to BlizzCon.
The team nabbed a P200,000 prize and will be going to Thailand to compete against the champions from the other Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia) on August 8.

Team Bibingka (BBK) made its way through a single-elimination best-of-3 series against seven other qualified teams from the country namely ROG Net Shop and Team HYPE!(G7.Hype) from Davao, Jomix and BYP.FNK from Cebu and Southwind(SW), Shyfern(GS.Shyfern) and Wargods(WG) whom are fellow NCR qualifers as BBK.
The First Round
The first round was pretty uneven as all winning teams scored 2 points, sweeping their opponents. G7.Hype, BBK, SW and WG went on to the semi-finals.
Nearing the Summit
The first semi-final match was between G7.Hype and BBK with the latter dominating again and winning without losing a match. SW versus WG on the other hand brought some very exciting games (Southwind misdrafting Chen, though seemingly unfavoured, still won. The game also featured SW’s Illidan rushing WG’s core and leaving it at 3% health). Wargods won the last two matches keeping their hopes of going to BlizzCon alive.
The March to BlizzCon SEA Finals
A best-of-5 series was set for the finals with WG versus BBK. After the first three games, BBK was officially declared as the Philippines’ representative for Heroes of the Storm South East Asia Championships.
Final standings and prize money won are as follows:
Team Bibingka will be competing against Malaysia’s Salt Gaming, Singapore’s Relics and Thailand finals champion to be determined this weekend.
