Dota 2 Majors: A New Tradition to the World of Professional Dota 2
This fall marks the start of a “new tradition” – the Dota 2 Major Championships
Valve, Dota 2’s game developer and publisher, will be organizing and sponsoring four annual tournaments, including The International, the premiere Dota 2 championship in the world, in summer. The other three tournaments – in fall, winter and spring – will be hosted by third-party organizers.
The start of the Major Championships will push teams from all region around the globe to give an all-out performance to be worthy of an International or a regional qualifier invite.
The Dota 2 Major Championships: Fall will be held in Europe this November with qualifiers starting mid-October. Aspiring teams should have a locked roster by September 5. Any changes in their lineup will not grant them a direct invite from either the Major and Regional Qualifiers.
