PeSO to bring the eSports Festival to Asia Pop Comic Con
The Philippine eSports Organization (PeSO), the organizer of numerous events, including the eSports Festival since 2012, is happy to announce that it will bring the most anticipated eSports event from the South to the Asia Pop Comic Con (APCC) at the SMX Trade Hall, Mall of Asia this August 26 to 28, 2016.
Esports Festival is as the largest gaming event in Visayas and Mindanao which started back in 2012. It is the home of the national qualifiers of eSports International Competitions. PeSO has sent numerous Filipino Cyber-athletes to different parts of the world for the past years. ESF has been the annual meeting grounds of gamers in the area. And now, its found its new home in the APCC.
APCC, the country’s largest gathering of popular culture, comics and toy enthusiasts, hosted the CAGE or the Cosplay Authority Global Challenge. With the success of CAGE last year as a cosplay competition, APCC will now look to host esports events with PESO.
For this eSports Festival, gamers can look forward to a competition that will send national representatives to the 8th International e-Sports Federation World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia later this year.
“eSports is growing by leaps and bounds. The eSports Festival concept has brought much joy to the Visayas and Mindanao gaming fans. Last year, we announced that we were bring the ESF brand to Manila with our partner Alodia Gosiengfiao. We are happy to have found the perfect home in APCC,” said Tryke Gutierrez, Executive Director of Philippine eSports Organization.
