SNICKERS is Now ELEAGUE’s Official Marketing Partner

You aren’t yourself when you’re hungry…or when you’re losing in a game of Counterstrike: Global Offensive.

Turner and WME | IMG today announced SNICKERS® as an official marketing partner for the second season of ELEAGUE, now serving as the league’s “Official Chocolate Bar.” ELEAGUE’s second season recently kicked off with open qualifiers in early September and continued with Group Stage competition last weekend.

“The ELEAGUE partnership aligns perfectly with the SNICKERS Brand and the ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ Campaign,” according to Allison Miazga-Bedrick, Sr. Marketing Director for SNICKERS. “The Brand craves getting closer to ELEAGUE’s dedicated millennial fan base who looks for the kind of fun that aligns to the solution that only SNICKERS offers when ‘You’re Not Yourself When You’re Hungry.’”

As an official marketing partner, SNICKERS will be tapping into ELEAGUE’s younger viewing audiences through a number of branding elements across television and digital. These include sponsorship of the ELEAGUE pre-game show airing on TBS and “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” Moments airing post-game every week which captures the biggest gaffes and bloopers from that week of gameplay. Additional ad spots will only air between breaks in the action alongside ELEAGUE’s “ad tracker,” a scrolling ticker highlighting stats and additional information about participating teams and players.

ELEAGUE’s second season kicked off with open qualifiers in early September and will continue with Group B competition next Friday, Nov. 4. TBS will continue to televise its weekly Friday night showcase at 10 p.m. ET with an observer feed coverage available via Twitch. Live event coverage will be available on Twitch beginning Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m.

Season 2 live event action will continue weekly throughout the Group Stage round, leading up to the the Semifinal held Friday, Dec. 2, at 10 p.m. and the Grand Final on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m.

ELEAGUE’s live event coverage is aligned with Turner¹s commitment to delivering engaging experiences for fans and more authentic, creative branding opportunities for advertising partners. Recent analysis of an ELEAGUE Official Marketing Partner¹s campaign during the first season of ELEAGUE demonstrated double digit growth in awareness and positive brand sentiment. Further, 80 percent of ELEAGUE viewers were also active on social media during the event, providing a highly immersive, multi-platform environment for advertising partners.
