Two Members Leave 2015 League of Legends World Champions Samsung White
The League of Legends (LoL) world was shocked when the recent 2015 LoL World Champions, Samsung White, was left by their midlaner Heo “PawN” Won-seok and jungler Choi “DanDy“ In-kyu. Reports confirm that the two will be moving to Chinese pro-gaming organization Invictus Gaming.
Invictus Gaming is a long time and well-known gaming organization based in China, known mostly for its Dota 2 squad. The gaming organization was founded by Si-Cong Wang, son of Jian-lin Wang and the chairman of Dalian Wanda Group Corporation Ltd. He is known for being very passionate about eSports, once giving the highest salaries to professional gamers in the country. Due to China’s “chaotic” eSports climate, however, speculations that Wang has lost his drive have abounded.
Unstoppable Movements
Cho “Mata“ Se-hyeong, Samsung White’s Support and the 2015 LoL World Championship Finals MVP, earlier announced that he will be leaving his former organization. It was hinted that he will continue to stream his games, if not finish his mandatory army service in Korea, but nothing was officially announced about his next move.
Right now, the only remaining members from the 2015 Champions are Gu “Imp” Seung-bin (AD carry) and Jang “Looper” Hyeong-seok (top lane solo) but even Imp has given hints of retiring from the organization. Imp stated that he’s going to “take it easy” for a while. Finally, Samsung White’s sister team Samsung Blue has also lost one of its key member, their AD Carry Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu. It was announced that Deft is going to China but details on his next team have yet to be announced.
