The first day of the MSI Beat IT Global LAN Finals has just concluded with CDEC Gaming and Rave making it off to the playoff stage of the tournament, while Insidious Idol as well as Wired Gaming have both been eliminated from the tournament.

Rave showed an amazing performance in the tournament so far, which included a convincing 33-minute victory against Wired Gaming from the Middle East as well as two straight wins against Russia’s Virtus Pro. With these decisive results, they have guaranteed themselves a slot in the semifinals.

In the meantime, EnDerr has been eliminated early from the tournament after losing against Ian with a score of 2-0 in the Group 2 loser bracket finals. By finishing 9th-12th in the tournament, Enderr takes home $500.

At the moment, the final four of the playoffs has been determined, which includes names such as Rogue, Solar, PartinG and YoDa. One of the main treats of the tournament was the very fact that Flash, renowned as the “God of Terran”, was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Rogue.

It is interesting to note that among the four players that have survived the tournament, there are two Zergs (Rogue and Solar), one Protoss (PartinG) and one Terran (YoDa).

The matches will continue tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. (GMT+8) for both Starcraft 2 and Dota 2.

 


 

UPDATE:

Virtus Pro and Team Immunity have won their respective matches and will move on to the playoffs tomorrow along with CDEC Gaming and Rave.

 

UPDATE#2:

Rave will face Immunity in the semi finals while Virtus Pro will face CDEC Gaming.
