Pacific.Macta Grabs TNC CrossFire Championship Title, Sweeps Wara 2-0
Coming off a historical second place win at the CrossFire Stars Invitational in Hanoi, Vietnam, Pacific.Macta never looked back as they win the TNC 2015 Esports Cup CrossFire championship, 2-0, against erstwhile rivals Pacific.Wara.
In what could be hailed as one of the fastest CrossFire championship games in recent history, Macta took a perfect map on Black Widow, scoring 10-0, while they shocked everyone by thrashing Wara on Port with a scoreline of 10-4, as they have been statistically known to drop games on that map in the past.
Pacific.Wara needed to beat Macta’s sister team on the way to the finals after they drop to their nemesis in the upper bracket with a score of 10-3.
With that in mind, Wara made sure that they secure a revenge match with the other Pacific team by beating Acclaim.Macta with a score of 10-8.
The TNC Esports Cup is known as the first Filipino Esports event to be held in a stadium, as well as the last big-ticket event for the 2015 Philippine CrossFire season.
For getting the top spot, Macta gets P160,000 in cash, while Wara gets P40,000 for reaching second place.
Pacific.Macta will fly to Guangzhou on Thursday, December 4 this year in order to represent the country at the CrossFire 2015 Stars Grand Finals, featuring a $220,000 (~P1.04 million) prize pool. Meanwhile, Pacific. Wara will go to China on December 15 to fly the Philippine flag at this year’s World Cyber Arena.
