When Akuma was first revealed for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, a lot of speculation was floating around about his gameplay. Many were thinking that though his trailer footage showed a lot of Street Fighter elements, they would only be visual references and Akuma will still be using the classic Tekken gameplay. The trailer revealed however, that Akuma will be getting more than just animations from Street Fighter.

But it wasn’t just Akuma that got Street Fighter like mechanics. Every character in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution also has their own access to these mechanics but in their own way but of course not as involved as Akuma.

The trailer also revealed a new feature for the game where players can challenge specific players online by challenging them through the Tekken arcade website. This website will be updated soon to accommodate this new feature as well as new customization items for players to enjoy.

More footage will be available once the location tests start so stay tuned until then.
