Secret ‘Rapier-ed’ Their Way to the Grand Finals
Team Secret is the first team that advanced in the Grand Finals of the Shanghai Major after defeating Team Liquid.
It was the battle of the Divine Rapiers. Team Liquid bought the first Rapier to make a comeback during the first game. Team Secret was convincingly winning with their Dark Seer and w33ndranger combo. Team Liquid’s Legion Commander had no impact during the game that the last resort was for Gyrocopter to buy a Rapier. However it wasn’t enough to bring down Secret. They brought Gryocopter down and Liquid had no choice but to call ‘gg’.
The second game was in Liquid’s advantage. They won lanes and continued to shut down Ember Spirit. Slark was having trouble to gain momentum. Liquid destroyed Secret’s top and middle barracks and it looked like the series will lead to a third game. It was Secret’s turn to buy a Rapier of their own. The Roshan fight, 30 minutes into the game, was a game changer for Secret. They wiped out Liquid and continued their momentum from there. Liquid wasn’t able to retaliate and had to admit defeat after Secret wiped them out for the second time.
Liquid still have a chance for revenge if they win in the lower bracket. Meanwhile MVP.Phoenix and Evil Geniuses will fight for survival.
