Series after series, the first day of the Manila Major’s Main Event delivered. With four teams now out of championship contention, twelve remain and from that number, another two are to be eliminated today.

For those not up-to-date with the happenings at the Philippines’ largest eSports event, here’s what you need to know about the Manila Major: Day 2.

Catch Up

Many series happened yesterday, with all of them providing hype moments of their own. Here are the summaries of some of the highlighted games of the day:

A key point to note is that since Na’Vi is now in the Lower Bracket, they face their long-time rivals Alliance. That’s right, the “El Classico” of Dota 2 is here. Unfortunately, the loser gets 9-12th place tie.

FEATURED STORIES

The International 2015 and Shanghai Major champions, Evil Geniuses and Team Secret respectively, have both been eliminated. Due to the former losing to Vici Gaming Reborn and the latter to Team Empire in the first round of the Lower Bracket, both teams are out of the tournament and tied for last place with Mineski and Wings Gaming.
