Top PH CrossFire Team Invited to the CrossFire 2016 Global Invitational

With the local 2016 CrossFire (CF) season rapidly approaching its end, Pacific.Macta just got invited to this year’s CrossFire Global Invitational, which will feature eight of the best CF teams in the world.

The CrossFire 2016 Global Invitational will be held in Taicang, Suzhou, China this coming July 4-10 this year, with a prize pool of $200,000 (~P9.4 million). The eight teams will be divided into two groups for the group stage matches, with each group featuring a best-of-one double elimination format.

Afterwards, the top two teams of each group will move on to the best-of-three single elimination playoffs stage, with the grand finals to be held in a best-of-five format.

Some of the teams that will take part in the tournament include Chinese squad Vici Gaming, Brazilian side INTZ and Europe’s PENTA Sports, among others.

FEATURED STORIES

The tournament offers Pacific.Macta a chance to finally get an international title as they have been getting podium finishes in the international scene, including their consecutive third-place finishes at the CrossFire Stars Global Finals as well as a second-place finish during the CFS 2015 Invitational in Vietnam.

Prize pool breakdown and seeding have not yet been announced as of press time.
