With all these additional prizes, I’m sure all teams are much more motivated to win the tournament.

What is the Tournament’s Format?

The 2016 League of Legends World Championship will be played out in two stages: group stage followed by a knockout stage.

Eight (8) teams, the Top 1 and Top 2 of each group, will then advance to the knockout stage.

The tournament will then transition into a best of 5 (Bo5) single elimination bracket. Whoever survives this stage will be crowned 2016 World Champion.
